Hi all,

I'm planning to buy these accessories for my G3
Tele: Kenko KNT 20
Wide: Raynox DCR-6600
Adapter tube: Kenko 52mm (ref. KENBG3TUBE)

I can buy all that on www.2filter.com It's one of the rare stores which I found who have all the products at the same place.

As I am in Switzerland I must all order at the same place.

Did somebody already test this configuration together? what do you think about my choices ?

thanks
Joke

I can't comment on your purchase, but www.2filter.com seems to have a very good reputation...

Well, I live in Switzerland too and ordered all my stuff from B&H Photo in NYC. Only difference is I bought the Canon stuff. Kenko and Raynox weren't what I wanted for one reason or the other.

On Kazutoku's site there are some tests, though he seems to have moved his pages around.

I can tell you that Kenko makes a quality product, they are a long term after market lens maker on same plane as a hoyer.

I do not know much about Rayonox, but the shot examples are as good as any I have seen.

Lets us know how you like them.

I suggest you to buy a macro male to male adapter too if you are intrested in macrophotograpy. It allows you to mount a reverse SLR lens on G3 filter adapter. It is very cheaper but you can't find anywhere in Europe.

You can get them here:

Hi all

thanks a lot for all your comments.

Just a question.
I don't understand how works the macro male to male adapter ?
I can also find it here : http://www.2filter.com/prices/products/macroring.html

can I use it with the articles which I want to order or must I still buy something else ?

do you have any pics which show the assembly?

thanks..
I will place my order today or tomorrow (waiting for your inputs) ....

Macro coupling ring (male to male adapter) is used to couple a SLR lens (typically a 50 mm) for macro pourpose. You can read about this at http://www.mplonsky.com/photo/article.htm#rev and you can see how to assemble at http://www.mplonsky.com/photo/equip.htm. I am sure you can find a used SLR 50 mm and enjoy this easy macro technique.
