On special request:

I scanned some old B&W negatives I shot of Bettie Serveert at Tuckerrock in the small place of Hengevelde on June 11th 1994.
For good measure, I also scanned a few negatives of Magnapop from the same festival, and some from another gig of Bettie Serveert on the Campus of University of Twente.

All scans can be found here (http://www.moonglade.net/rene/94_95_scans).

As can be seen, digital photography has its advantages over film for low light photograpy. All of these were shot using Fuji's Neopan 1600, EI of ISO 640.
Camera used was a Nikon F801s, paired with 28/2.8; 50/1.8 and 85/1.8 Nikkor lenses.
Sharpness is nowhere near digital, motion blurr is evident in a lot of images. Part my small experience at that time, part the 1 1/3 slower ISO.

On with the images:

1 - It was okay for tobacco brands to sponsor events back then:

C&C welcome, although a bit out of date
For obvious reasons, I have no idea about apertures and shutterspeeds used, but it looks like fully opened (either f/1.8 or f/2.8 ) and shutterspeeds around 1/15 to 1/125s.

Great stuff, Rene'!
I used Noise Ninja once on some grainy ISO 800 negative scans and it worked like magic!
Ever try it?

@Dwight: Aren't we getting a bit single minded ;)
@Curtis: Well, I'm not too anal about noise. Might give Neat Image a try on the first and last scan. (those are underexposed as you can see)
@Narlus: Welcome! Have you seen the band picture? Bad taste in glasses IMO :D
