One function needed for EOS-10D is an adjustable
self-timer on cameara. Sometimes I wish it can be
a lot longer than 10 sec. Sometimes I wish it can
be set a lot less than 10 sec. it will be very easy
for them to add this function. I know what Canon
will say to this - buy remote controller TC-80N3 and
more profit for them. Yes, I have it, but I still
want adjustable self-timer on camera.

Also there should be a function to set self-timer
as temporary/once or permanant. Every time
I always forgot to turn self-timer off and the next
shot only trigger self-timer - bad design indeed!

Can't think of many other cameras that have this feature.
The adjustable self timer is a good idea though.

Karl,

To set it to less than 10 seconds, well, to two seconds exactly, use the custom function to use mirror lockup.

Thanks. It is a great tips for tripod usage
without the remote controller. I read it
in great tips thread too.

I have missed a few great shots when I only
triggered self-timer! I think I need a custom
function of setting self-timer as one time only.

Where is the software source code of Canon 10D,
I can modified the code for them very quickly.

I don't know if the source code is available,. but you could download the latest firmware and start from there! :D

I know the 300Drebel crowd would be interested in talking to you! :)
