This picture was taken after Stage 4 of the 2006 Tour de Georgia. I thought of it after watching him win today's stage at the Tour de France.

wonderful shot.
I was lucky enough to see him coming over the last mountain to Morzine, where he shattered the field by eight minutes. Here´s Floyd 200 meters after the top, gunning down to Morzine for the win.

Those are some great shots. I was there in 2004 for stages 12-14 and had a great time.

Also very nice. If I can work it out, I will be at the Tour of California next year.

Best way to win the tour if you're an American? Be female. VERY female. That way, your test levels MAY pass the Euro microscope.

I've missed the last two TDFs while deployed to the Middle East. It's nice to see some good racing photos. Nice job with the photos. I hope to get the chance to photograph some racing next summer.

Sadly, he is destined to become known as the fastest multivitamin in sport...
That, however, does not detract from the excellence of your photos. Well done.

These are GREAT shots.
I love cycling and just got myself a 20D. I have a Sigma 18-50 lens and looking for another lens. Natually, the 70-200L looks sweet but my credit (and wife) thinks the Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG Macro HSM might work as well.
Any suggestions?
I am no means a pro or think I will be (not anytime soon) so part of me says get what I can afford and work with it and the other part says spend the extra money and get the primo lens.
In addition to the sports I do also like taking shots of my daughter and just about everything else.
These are some photos that I took during the Tour of California Stage 1 and Stage 2 with my very old Olympus C300 point and shoot.
