I have a Canon S3 IS which I am using to shoot beach volleyball tournaments. The pics are coming out great, but it is difficult to use the lcd in the bright light so I am using the viewfinder, but I am finding that there is a dark tint in the viewfinder that makes it difficult to see through without it being hazy. It gets even darker when I hold down the shutter button halfway as I am preparing to take the shot.
Anybody know if there is any way to adjust this.

My old camera was so much better, but I realize that it's viewfinder did not actually look through the lens and I believe this one does.

I guess I should do more research before I post. In the advanced manual it states that the brightness of the lcd or viewfinder will be based on shutter and apperature.
If the shutter speed is very fast the viewfinder will be darker.
I must have been experimenting with a shutter speed that was too high.
