Great colors and detail in them both. I really like the second with the seed in it's mouth

Nice detail, color and bokeh in both shots. The Cardinal looks a litttle beat up...perhaps he is moulting.

Did you use high ISO for these shots? Reason for asking is that there is hardly any feather details and they show a bit of noice of sharpening artifacts. Otherwise the 2nd shot has a killer pose.

Attached are the original shots cropped 50% and shot @ ISO 400. I do all my PP with Canon's DPP.
