Canon Powershot G5
Still Image Service is started, has been restarted, and seem's to be working fine. Canon Twain drivers have been removed, re-installed and updated to 6.1, and I have re-installed the USB hub drivers for all USB ports on the device. The current OS that i'm running is windows 2000.
When I plug the camera into the USB, it detects and installs the camera fine. When I use windows imaging and select acquire image from the file drop down box... the "canon camera/DV Twain driver" window appears and it states that it "cannot detect camera".
I absolutely can't stand twain drivers, but also hate to have something not working that once was on my machine. I would like to fix this issue if possible. I would also like to know what other alternatives I have in order to download pictures from my camera using the USB cable that came with the camera. I don't like constantly pulling out the Memmory card, so I don't want a reader at this time.
I personally would like the camera to install itself as a drive mapping on my machine like my olympus camera did... is this possible?
