A little more action from the Clovis Rodeo April 2006, shot with a 20D with a Cannon 100/400 at 1/1000. Looking for any C/C

Maybe try uploading them to a site like photobucket or flickr.com instead of attaching them? The compression is so bad it mars the image.

From what I can see I'd say maybe tighter crops, there's alot of space around the cowboys that doesn't really add much to the image imho :)

For what it is worth, I know bull riding is a BiT*% to shoot. The issue you are battling here is the rider and bull are so close to the gate, it is hard to create any kind of seperation between them and the stuff behind them. Because of that, the dudes in the back do distract - considerably. Since your lense has limited ability to shoot wide do to f5.6, I would shoot next time from the side rather straight at the gate. This will move the action further away from the rail behind them giving you better speration between subject and background. Is any of this making sense?

On the more positive side, the timing looks great, the actions good, lots of color and intensity....It will just take a being a little more creative. If you have a wide angle, you might be able to get some pretty cool shots from the same side as the gate.. if the rider and bull come close. Good start..... keep working it.... looks very much worth it. Cheers.
