I was messing around with my camera and thought I'd have a go at trying to create a drunk mans view of his bottle. I think this turned out good C&C Most welcome plz.

Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder? I seem to have double vision.

Yeah you could say that. Although after the bottle I couldnt see let alone see double.

yeah, I reckon that's about what it would look like through beer/absinthe goggles, well done.

Very cool! Did you use a slow shutter and zoom in?
Although I recall the quote as being about the tart, not the heart ;)

Yeah slow shutter speed and held the capture for a few seconds then zoomed out hand held it for a few more till it captured the shot. Its pretty cool what you can do when you mess around.

Heh nice... you can pretty much immediately tell what you've gone for in the shot, which is good :)

I stumbled across that effect once. Interestingly, the Canon FD Lens Work book, which introduces zooms in an era when they were truly new, mentions you can do this. Nowhere else have I ever seen it.
Before I read about that though, I experienced it by accident. I was rushing to get a shot of a friend stepping out of a doorway, and I wanted to zoom in, but clicked the shutter early. What I got was him in focus, but a very interesting motion blur effect in the background that looked like the door was sucking him in. Never been able to repeat it though I did try on quite a few occasions ;)

God, absinthe. Never, ever, again...
Had a bottle of stuff that I brought back from czech republic a few years ago. The good stuff, with all the terrible neurotoxins and all. Broke out the bottle at about 2am at the tail end of a very nice, moderately drunk, house party / barbecue.
I remember a few foul chugs from the bottle (bad news with 160 proof!), then something about leaning against the bricks over a fireplace and staring, and then a lot of chaos that doesn't really form any memories. Finally I remember something about being naked in the middle of the floor on my back while one friend sat on my stomach (also naked) with everybody else in the room laughing hysterically.
It wasn't some kind of repressed homosexuality thing. I've more than ruled that out. It was an absinthe thing.
Stay the hell away from the absinthe.

When i was introduced to the technique, i knew it as "crash zoom"
I have toyed with it a little, especially for rock-tography, and this is what i got.

You can get some really good results with this method but its just hit and miss I think. Yeah absinthe is very messy stuff.

I found that it proved to be a rather fruitful technique if you played with it a little and got used to it.
