Pros and cons.
I have a "Computrekker Plus AW" for my 17" laptop, but I still have yet to try this on a flight, to me I just think they wil say no. It's within the limits but it's big and then it's too heavy once loaded. Cant risk being refused at the airport as carry on. Anyone had issue with this bag on trips.
I use a Micro Trekker 200 for everyday use.
But I'm thinking of the "Computrekker AW" as I also have a "MacBook" but is this the best solution for flights and I want to get a 70-200 lens soon so I need to be able to have 5 lenses (1 attached to the body) should I stay with Lowepro or maybe have a Tarmac bag.
Whats your view.

I have traveled with my Lowepro Photo Trekker AW II as carry on here in Norway several times. Have no problems with it :) Going to Vancouver in a month and plan to have the phototrekker and an laptop bag as carry on ;) Should not be a problem :)

I have been doing a fair amount of domestic (USA) flying lately, and I have not been checked for weight on a carry-on, despite occasionally having a suitcase full of paperwork. I don't know how it is across the pond, but if you are within the size and you can carry it without an obvious amount of strain I would give it a go.

I didn't see what I presume to be a Typo in the title until now, but I can't resist - Are you suggesting that if your carry-on is too heavy, the contents might wind up on the Tarmac?

LOL, I could pretend you was right but I may get found out :) never had anything by them before so I just assumed it was something like Tarmac just seen before many users have bags by them. Perhaps I should have looked at their website first

Must be just an American thing, I travel from the UK to Canada a lot and they always check the weight of my carry on. Only time they dont is if I have my micro trekker 200 which I guess dont look that big. But it's always over weight and I always put all my batterys into my pockets before I move to the desk (trekker 200 has been weighed now and then)

Every time I have gone to Toronto the flights I use will not allow two carry on bags. I have seen people made to put them in the hold. Which I would never do, think I would not fly if my camera gear went in the hold. In almost all cases I have had my carry on weighed to.

Overall, I think Lowepro makes better gear.

I started (with my DSLR phase) with Tamrac, and I have gravitated more towards Lowepro. I think they are both equivalent quality-wise, but the Lowepro bags seem to meet the need better (combinations, ergonomics, etc.) Maybe they do better market research or something.
