is going to render cooler results?

I use Novatron 500m's Monolights and I am geting quite warm images, if I use photoshop autocolor they come out a weird bluish color. The Novatrons are supposed to be balanced at 5500.

At any rate I would like to set the color temp and leave it if possible. Any tips????

Color temperature in camera and true color temperature of your image will differ depending on several factors including the strobe units. Changing background or other elements can dynamically alter color temperature of the image. Suggestion is to always shoot RAW (that’s up to you – but you can alter the white balance to anything you want in the post processing) and establish true color temperature by shooting a gray card with your setup or for even better accuracy try the Expodisc http://www.expodisc.com. I experimented using the Expodisc on my last photo shoot and although the workflow does add a few extra steps, the results are spot-on both in studio and outside http://www.pettusphoto.com/kelly/Ch2 [Note the in studio backgrounds are off-white and pink. The color temperature changed over 1000K just by altering these backgrounds with the exact lighting setup.]
