Inside my computer
350D + 70-200 f/2.8L + 680B

My favorite is either two or three, but I'd probably lean more towards #2 because it shows more of the case. I think #1 might be suffering from some slight flare since the cathodes were right below the frame.

For any other huge nerds out there, these are the components:

Custom Build
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI Socket 939 Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Processor (overclocked from stock 2.0ghz to 2.55ghz, 3800+)
eVGA 6800GT 256MB PCI-Express Video Card (overclocked from stock 350/1000 to 460/1260)
Geil 2x512mb DDR550 PC-4400 RAM
Seagate 300GB SATA
OCZ 520w Powerstream
NEC 16x DVD+-RW Drive
Silverstone Temjin 6 Case with Wind Tunnel

Water Cooling
Swiftech MCP-655 Pump
Double Heatercore (from 1977 Bonneville)
Copper TDX CPU Block
Acetal MAZE4GPU GPU Block
Tygon S-50-HL Class VI 1/2" ID Tubing

As always, C&C is welcome and greatly appreciated!

Happy shootin' everyone,

Love those pictures. The green hoses make it look much more organic. Just needs a bit of a dusting in there, that's all...

It needs a whole lot of dusting. I haven't done anything inside my computer for about a year since I installed the water cooling. Not only are the tubes dirty on the outside but probably dirty on the inside. You're supposed to clean the system out every six months; it's been nearly twelve.

I'm a huge nerd. :D Nice rig. #2 for me too, less the few wires and the yellow label on the left.

I have never heard of water cooling a PC before... to be honest, I don't think I would try it. What if a leak develops? Water + Electronics = Broken PC....

Nice pics though.

That's wild.
So, is the round gizmo with the hoses on it a circulation pump?

i don't blame you for finding water cooling very risky because the fact is that it is that risky, in the wrong hands of course. As long as you make sure everything is secure and more importantly run a 24-hour leak test before turning your system on, you will not develop a leak later on. We leak tested mine for less than twelve hours, booted the system, and never had a problem since.

The solution is also distilled water and antifreeze. Of course it's exposed to impurities once you pop the cap off of the container.

Water cooling isn't for everyone. As long as you're patient enough to secure everything and leak test, you won't run into any problems later on. Water cooling really helps keep load temperatures low when you overclock. The same overclocks can be accomplished on air cooling, but the load temperatures will be so much higher, shortening the life of your parts. So in a way, water cooling can essentially extend the life of your OC'ed parts.

I'll be honest with you though. If you aren't overclocking, water cooling is not worth the trouble! Just so you know, it's much more safe than you would initially think.

Yes, the round gizmo with the hoses attached is a pump.

Wild! Like jim, I have never heard of a water cooled computer. I thought it was a joke at first.

Yes of course. They were taken with the kit lens and aren't nearly as good, but they are wider shots nevertheless. I put in the lenses because these were meant to be "tools of the trade" shots for my deviantART.
