Hi guys

Here are the pics from the outdoor concert I shot recently in my local town, the DIY Rock Festival, 10 local bands plus one headliner called Reuben, a semi well known band. Had a really good day out, organised by two young local guys only 18 and 20 years old, very well organised.

Thanks to everyone who gave me tips in my post prior to the day really gave me the confidence to try out different lens and settings, thanks guys.

Some very nice timing (2!). Pity about the distracting BGs.
I also like the headcase guitarplayer shot and the Framed By Fire close up of the singer.
Hope you have a better venue and lighting next time.

Are you planning to go to the Across the Tracks festival in Leeds next week? I was able to arrange photo credentials for the event and will try to at least shoot one days worth of bands.

Something different for me, since I'll be visiting from Arizona.

Thanks Rene, couldn't believe I had managed to capture the jump shot, the guitarist, JJ, was really pleased with the shot too and the band have been using the pics on their website.

Thanks Dwight, keep having this problem when I post pics, not sure what I'm doing wrong, I'll have to get my husband on the case as he is better with the computer side of things!

Sadly no didn't find out about until very recently and I have to work, you're very organised having it all planned from Arizona, the internet makes everything so easy these days I guess! There is some good bands playing, The Magic Numbers are very big in Britain right now, and Badly Drawn Boy is really good too. Also check out The Research if you get chance, Leeds/Wakefield based band, they are a three piece, one guy who plays a crappy, very cheap keyboard, one girl on bass and one girl on a very small drum kit and they all sing. Sounds terrible I know but they're really good if you like that sort of thing, generally I'm a metal head so don't know how their cd ended up in my collection, I 've seen them live twice its a good show.
