Models wearing Wedding Bands?

Hi,
1) I work with a couple different models and each of them are married, some think it is more productive or better for their career if they don't wear their wedding band, others keep it on at all times (but have never asked anyone to remove it).

What is everyones opinion about having models wear wedding bands? I notice it in looking at my photos that it is missing, sometimes the skin tone is different where it belongs, etc.

2) I have also taken photos of models and their husband and they 'left their ring at home' as we were doing other shoots that day too.. but their husband has their ring on..it doesn't bother them.. but I notice it when looking..as well as people who look at my photos. It honestly makes it look like the husband is cheating to be honest...

3) Have you ever been asked to PhotoShop out wedding bands? I got this request for the first time and thought it was sort of odd? I would think that it would be sort of difficult and would really show up.

Any comments or expereiences would be appreciated.

seems like the same thing as when celebritys deliberatly hide the fact they are in a relationship, typically boybands - people could be less likley to desire the person if they were seen to already be taken. ive never noticed this before in modeling though.

I think it depends on the type of photo shoot you're having. If it's portrait style, then I wouldn't care if they wear a ring or not. If it's a fashion shoot, I probably would have asked them to remove any jewellery. To me, if I'm shooting something that is to have a certain atmosphere I will look at the model as a blank canvas. And from there on I'd add things; jewellery, clothes, makeup, hair, accessories etc.

jewlery in general is one of my pet peeves when shooting folks. rings don't bother me much.. but, if it's going to leave a tan line i'd rather they be left on.. I think it depends on the model.. ofcourse when shooting couples you'd like them both to be wearing rings if they're married.. I think it depends on what your shooting and why.. judging each shoot individually..

I have to go with,
Unless the ring is distracting to the shoot, I let the model decide.
To date I have only once asked a model to take a ring off, but that was because it was highly distracting to the outfit.
