Nice shots of the Gull, are these cropped or not, if not you have got very close to the birds. Even though it's nice to see the in-flight close-up of the seagull, it's also nice to see a full frame of the gull in-flight.
The second shot is immensely very good, with beautiful detail and colour. The oribital ringlet around the eye, looks Red which tends me to think that is could be a Yellow-legged Gull rather than the herring Gull, which has a yellow/orange orbital ringlet. But that could be my monitor.
Both though has excellent focus, detail and colour, well done.

Two nice pictures.
Regarding the species - I think a coin will have to be tossed. On my monitor the orbital ring looks orange - so it could be either Herring or Yellow-legged, but, the legs don't look yellow in the first picture (although it is a difficult and very subjective observation). Yellow-legged are not terribly common in the UK (being more a Medditeranean bird), so on balance I'd go for it being Herring.
Where did you take it?

The feet colouring on the additional shot is clearly not yellow, so this one is a Herring gull!
