Will Canon and Nikon DSLR $$$ drop with Sony DSLR competition?

I vision the competition from Sony's new DSLR creating competition for Canon and Nikon. This can only result in a decrease in the price $$$ of Canon and Nikon DSLRs and increasing the number features added to your next DSLR. I stated "Go Sony Go" in a post some time back because I see competition from Sony benefiting me by placing pressure on Canon. Sony took over Minolta technology ... I had Minolta products in the past and was happy with them. It was too tooooo long for Minolta to deliver a DSLR and I jumped ship to Canon, of course :D. Question: Do you think Sony's new DSLR competition will have an impact on decreasing cost and increasing features of the next Canon (Nikon ...) DSLR you buy?

Sony makes Nikon's sensors and there is a teaser on Nikon's site right now that they are dropping a 10.2 MP DSLR in about 19 days. My guess it it'll be called the D-90 and cost a little more than the Sony.
