I had a play with my fisheye lens out in the landscape, they are from a trip out west of NSW. I think the lanscape lent itself well.

Hey Roger pretty flat out there. The peleng results are good. The first has a large effect -the horizon is very bent etc, but not so much on the second. So its an adjustable fisheye... or whats going on?
ps - shooting a katana 1100 later today round sunset. Trying for a good look on a recently restored classic.

Nice shots. I like the 2nd one better from some reason. The color is great in both!

Carzee flat is the operative word, although I did find some hills out towards Silverton. Regarding the different effects of the fisheye, I'm not sure but it could be horizontal as opposed to vertical format.....I need to play with this lens more. I'll look forward to some shots of the Katana shoot, a nice classic bike.
Beckybun the second is my fave also, the curvature of my body goes with the curve of the road.....also it breaks the rule of thirds in a way that I like.
Livinthalife they are fun lenses....for the right subject!

Your good. You are also hairy. Nice ring and shadow. The rest of the photos are great too. A fish eye lens. I was considering one recently. I'm not sure what happened.

Monty Python was all about distortion lol! Get a Peleng fisheye, they're cheap and fun to boot.
Transportithere I am indeed a hairy bugger as for being good, thank you very much and I am learning all the time.

When shooting with a fishy on landscape try two shots.
One for composition
Another getting the horizon in the dead center so it looks flat. The two conflicting signals of flat and curved can have dramatic results.

I love the first shot Mate,
definately something different and appealing.
And what this 'rule of thirds' thingy...??

Sandy and Robin thank you so much.......Cosworth thanks too and I'll give that a try....Marty good to see you mate, gald you like. The rule of thirds in landscape is generally sacred, but I like breaking rules....creatively I hope.

Love the lens, Roger. Did you get it locally? I really like the effects it can give - and you have shown how fun it can be.

I bought the lens from e-bay, a seller in Oz who accessed them direct from Russia if I remember correctly lol, I reckon they're great value.

Nice stuff.. that first one makes me feel a little queasy, it's almost as though you're in a huge velodrome or something.

I too like the first best. I've always wanted to try the "You Are Here" theme...

Hey Jim it was the surreal quality that appealed the most, it does bend your head a bit heh heh....Tuna glad you like the theme.
