Customization files???

I know that you get this request daily, but is there any information available that identifies which files are used to customize specific areas of EE?

I've found bits of information throughout various threads, though it seems that some files override others and it is difficult to know which ones affect global changes. An example would be, the header.php file in the languages folder overrides all other header.php files.

Maybe if you could list out the major components and what files should be changed to affect them? Some of these I already know. but other forum members might benefit from one complete list.
- gallery index
- exhibition index
- photo index
- header and footer
- CSS support
- detail listing title names
- listing types
- sorting orders
- news
- comments
- ecommerce

If there are any other major areas of interest that you have addressed elsewhere, it would be very much appreciated.

I know that you have several forum requests to go through since you've returned, so I won't bother you too much, since I have other gallery things I'm working on.

Do you think you'll have time to put together a list of customization files in the near future?
