This is on the "Going To The Sun Road" in Glacier National Park. The heavy morning fog was just starting to lift. There was still some frost on the ground and the trees.

Another beautiful shot Gary _ this place is on my short list vs going back to Yosemite & Sequoia NP next year. We enjoy day hiking trips so haven't read up on the hiking in Glacier NP too much.

The hiking in glacier is awesome. Most of the hikes are relatively flat. Most start at altitude so there is not a lot of climbing. The rewards are incredible. If you like hiking in an alpine environment it is hard to beat glacier. We go in september and there are virtually no crowds at all. We met a guy there last year that comes from california every year. We asked him about going to yosemete and he said he never goes becausre of the crowds of people. not a problem in glacier.

These are beautiful Gary - I went through Logan's Pass a long time ago, back in the 1970's - there was a place you could go to see one of the most beautiful alpine meadows up there. Did you get to see them?

the highline trail goes through a bunch of alpine meadows. it is stunning to say the least. i have never been in the summer. it is totally covered in wildflowers during the summer. it has snow until july and the snow returns in september. a very short window to see the wildflowers. this is lake cameron , on the canadian [waterton] side of the park.
