Daily News and Peeping

I've been working on abstract type photos to open up my eyes and see things differently. Take simple things and make something of it. Anyway... here's a couple of takes on a Newspaper thing (too late to think what it's called LOL) and my daughters eyes peeping through the floor of a playscape. What do you think?

The one of your daughter is nice, her eyes are pretty. I think I prefer the b/w newspaper thingy to the blue one, though both are nice.

I'm partial towards the black and white newspaper box thing. I absolutely LOVE the muted colors of the third pic. It looks fantastic. Would you care to share postprocessing technique?

For the 3rd shot, I adjusted Levels and curves a bit and then ran an action called Urban Acid. It's a neat effect. I also used that on the first shot. Usually best for teens or abstract type photos. If you do a search, you can find it. It's a free Photoshop action. And then I finished it up with USM probably set to 40/1.5/0-1.

#3 is amazing, excellent work. I prefer the colour version of the first shot too. I tend to find myself playing with urban acid alot recently, it's a really good action- I recommend you all get it!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm thinking of using the 3rd photo along with my avatar photo for a collage in my house. I want to collect a couple more like it.

Urban Acid is a fun action for sure. Typically doesnt work well with kids, but teens tend to love it and also nice on abstract type photos. My opinion anyway. ;)
