I would venture to guess that there are layers involved...

And probably the reds are the ones that have their luminosity and saturation preserved, while all other colors are tuned down a bit and changed around.

But I don't know layers in photoshop, so I can't really reverse engineer the plug-in. Can anybody explain the mechanism behind it?

This is the atn file:

Thanks

In what folder do you put the actions please?

doesn't matter afaik

Once you open photoshop, go to actions window. Click on the triangle on top and click "load action" and then browse to the atn file.

So, which one of the many actions in that file is supposed to give you the Dragan effect? I can't tell myself just by the names given to the actions.

All the actions. You have to select the first action on top, press the "play" button and let PS do his thing.

Here (http://www.atncentral.com/download.htm)'s a link to all actions on atncentral.
(The above link is to the wrong file.) Scroll down to either 'Dragan action' or 'Draganizer'.

In the Action Palate there are little icons that look like a dialog box (Use your imagination for that one), but by toggling that you can "turn on" all of the options to require your input. By input, I mean it will ask you to click "OK" at each step. But the side benefit is that each step will be shown, so you can see what is done and how things are set.

Try it.

That's what I figured. :)

How would you like to "reverse engineer" it?
