surfable, but real inconsistant. i used to hate the cold water, but with the cold water (meaning late october / winter)comes santa ana conditions clear sunny mornings. i guess i will have to get 3/4 wetsuit;>). thanks for looking.

Cool pictures...what are you using to protect your camera from the water?

its designed primarily as a "splash housing" so i am not sure how deep it would go. i have read on other posts that they have been as deep as 40 feet with no problems. the thing seems pretty bullet proof though. i am still tryig to figure out everything i can and can't do with housing. i had it custom built (it is the same housing used for the 20d with some adjustments) so that i can go full manual if i like (just ap and shutter speed, no iso adjustment once in the water), but i usually go av priorty and i am able to under over expose as well using the extra control on the housing.
thanks,

Chuck,
Your shots are getting better in clarity and sharpness! The next thing to taking some sick pictures are bigger and better waves along with some sick riders! Southeastern, NC just had some fun waves roll through on us and I had the chance to shoot a sponsered rider, Paul Loukas. Here's one of the "ok" ones I came up with. The better ones were sent away to magazines. Check it out! I'm not trying to hi-jack your topic, just showin' ya a picture.

The water drops killed it on this shot or else it would have been epic....you live and you learn I guess.
Chuck,
But also keep in mind, that the higher you go with your ISO the more grainy your shots get. And also, having a slow shutter while shooting water gives a cool effect.
