85mm 1.8 on the way

just placed the order, the 50mm 1.4 was going to take another 3 weeks so opted to get the 85mm for now and get the 50mm at a later date, cant wait to shoot with it,

Question for those who have it, which hood are you using, i bought the 50mm hood ages ago i am wondering if that will be fine

i bought an 85 last night too. the hood off the 50 1.4 won't fit even tho both lenses are 58mm.

wow not having much luck with these bloody aussie retailers, delays after delays so cancelled the order and ordered it from b&h hopefully be here in a week as opposed to aussie retailers who are going to take another 2 weeks. *sigh* sick of waiting.

also ordered the lens hood and it comes up $70 cheaper delivered hhaa no more aussie orders.

I just placed a order for the 85mm 1.8 Sunday too. Hope to get it sometime this week. From the shots I've seen posted at this great site this is going to be a sweet lens
