a few deer in the soybean field. Not the best of shots, but I liked them. They were about 150 yards away.

Both photos were nicely composed and the subjects really stand out from the environment. However, something just doesn't seem right and i can't quite pinpoint it. They seem overprocessed and feel plasticky.
Were they heavily cropped and then massive noise reduced?

That was what I was thinking as well. Almost looks as it was cut and pasted into the picture.

you guys are right. I used noise removal. I kind of like the look, but I know it's not for everyone. If I left it sharp, it just looked so boring.

Its different looking, not my type of thing. But nice photo non the less. The second one is great.
