Capturing equestrian shots is about timing. The riders love shots where the horse has the front legs tucked well up over the jump. In a situation where there are lots of spectators a differentioal focus is need to seperate the image subject, from the back ground. Image 2 does this fairly well but is to much directly from of the rear of the subject to make an appealing shot.
