How to: Customize Link & Text Settings

Sorry but I'm new to all of this so I could use someone's help. When I use one of the style templates it always give me the same links on type to pekka's website, and this forum, etc. How do I customize the links and change any default text within the style page.

A complete how to answer would be greatly appreciated.

In order to change the header content, you can either do one of the following:

1. change the html in the "header.php" in the "languages/eng" folder.
OR
2. cut and paste the html into the "header html" in the "misc. settings".

According to Pekka in another thread, no. 1 is the master that overrides all other header.php files.

I hope that helps... I've already posted a request for Pekka to help identify the major components and what files affect what.

thanks much...that worked fine. this is a very cool photo database program but figuring out the ins and outs is like an easter egg hunt.

I'm still having major path problems and get things to upload. I've emailed Pekka for help but I guess he's out of town. at this point a can't get my images uploaded so I'm in a holding pattern.
