Recently had an oportunity to take a picture of a sports celebrity with my sons youth sports team. We will be sending the printed photos to said celebrity for his autograph. The question is, what kind of pen should be used? Photos will be printed on i9100 on Photo plus or Photo pro paper. Does anyone have experience or thoughts on autographing inkjet pictures?

Sharpies work very well.
I took some concert photos from the American Idol tour and had several of them sign the photos I took and the Sharpie worked well every time.

Yes, black Sharpies.
The ultra fine point is good, and the fine point is good, especially if a lot of writing is involved. If it is a simple signature, then the broader ones work. The bigger the hand of the signer, the broader the pen.

If it is a sports celebrity don't worry about it. They will have a sharpie.

Ronny seikaly, a third-rate basketball player, once signed my basketball in sharpie. It's quit edifficult to get off, and my ball is prtety much unusable. He owes me dollars.

I personally am a fan of silver sharpies

Silver does show up better on darker pictures. Black is more visible on lighter pictures. If you want them to sign in any other color than black, you may want to carry your own.
