first macro picture

I took this pictture using my rebel xt kit lens and an old minolta rocker lens held backwards on the end of my kit lens lol.

Impressive for a reversed lens shot. I have the 50mm Rokker too, so I know how tough it can be ;).

In the future, maybe try to get the center of the penny in focus and let the edges be your OOF points. That way, you can still see ol' Honest Abe sitting on the back.

edit: The image was well lit. you did a good job not getting unsightly shadows!
