Just got back from trip and sent camera through high load x-ray inside luggage. Now the LCD light comes on but no display. Anyone else experience this problem? Can't tell if the LCD is blown or a circuit board or what.

Was the camera packed well within the luggage or was it loose? Luggage gets subject to a lot of abuse during handling (bumbs, vibrations, drops...) Check for any signs of impact (covers slightly apart, seams mis-aligned, dents or cracks in the covers) this could mean that the camera was subjected to an impact. I can't see xrays damaging anything, it's not that destructive.
It could also be just timing. The LCD was about to die anyway, the trip was just the final straw.
Try resetting the camera if the display isn't just accidentally turned off.

Yes, I reset it and I think the reset message came up but I wouldn't be able to tell because the lcd won't display at all, even though the backlight works. The camera was well packed and buffered in the middle of the luggage so I thought that was not a likely problem. Kind of reminds me of the old blue screen of death, only its just my S40 instead of my pc.
