Hi All,

A PC socket. Do you get signal from this socket everytime you take a shot regardless of whether you are using a flash etc. ?

I.e. could it be used to trigger something other than a flash ?

Cheers

Yes although it's not really a "signal" per se. What it is is a switch, either mechanical or electronic depending on the camera, that closes every time the shutter is released to take a picture.

And, yes, it could be used to trigger something other than a flash. HOWEVER, BEWARE!!!! You could FRY your camera if the trigger voltage is too high!
