Is anyone out there using kenko adapters? They are about $15 and convert to 52mm. What materials are they made off? Any pros and cons? Reason I don't want to use lensmate is that all my filters from 35mm cameras are in 52mm and it's a hasle to pull out the reducing ring everytime I need to use them.

Why not use the lensmate with a step up ring?
Attach the lensmate to the camera. Then attach the 49-52mm step up ring to the lensmate. Attach a 52mm UV filter to the step up ring. Now all of your other filters can attach to the UV filter and the lens stays protected.

It's the same thing but I'm saving money. Adapter is $5 cheaper and I don't pay for step up ring.
Another thing is that if you stock 3 cu lenses on top, you already lost enough ligth. By using a ring on top of the converter you further increase the distance between the main lens and a CU filters which means that you lost some light again. If I get longer exposure because of that it mean my depth of field will increase and I don't want that with macro shots.
I'm not planning to keep the adapter on the camera all the time. It will be in my bag if I need to mount a filter or a lens.

Hey there guys....
I just got my Kenko G1 adapter. All metal construction, converts to 52mm, costs $15, does not obstruct sensor and you can fit filters without any problems.
I got it from (www.2filter.com) filter connection. There have also some new Hi Res quality lenses. No, I'm not associated with them. I just bought some filters and an adapter ( over $50 order) got free shipping and 2 day service.

I'm trying to figure out whether to buy lensmate or Kenko - I'd appreciate any comment related to the Kenko adapter! Will I be able to use the flash?
Thanks,

I don't have a big problem with Kenko adapter when using a flash. At the widest angle setting I can see a little bit of shadow in the corner but it is easly fixed with photoshop. Kenko has a 52mm thread at the end and Lensmate I believe is 49mm. Would 3mm make a difference in avoiding that shadow? I don't know. Price difference is not that big (Kenko is like $5 cheaper). If I ever uses flash for my work those are usually ouside strobes or hot lights and at this point it really doesn't matter. I hope that guys with Lensmate will post something about their stuff.
This is a picture with a problem:
