I took these last week when there was the most magnificent sunsets I have about 50 in total :) but I'm not sure how to process them, any change makes major effects.
These are virtually out of the camera just a bit of sharpening and no cropping.

Cheers Scott. we do on the odd occasion :)
Now I've looked more closely, do they go uphill from left to right?

I tried having a bash a removing them, to be honest I had no idea where to start in Elements  My post processing skills are a bit limited :)

Now that you mention it perhaps a 2 degree shift clockwise might do the trick ;)

I love the shape of the sun in #3. I've photographed dozens of sunsets but I've never seen anything like that. Great job!
I'm interested in what's going in in #1 and #2 though. It looks like the sun is reflecting off something above the horizon. That can't be right, can it? (And yes the horizon is tilted - about 1-1.5 degrees.)

you just can't see the true horizon. The water is dark and looks like the horizon but in fact there is water beyond those dark areas. Thats why there is the odd reflection. Look at the water in 3 and you'll see how there is a stretch of water beyond. :)
Great shots. Can you tell me what you did to get the sun exposed like that? Are you using a filter of any sort? I had an opportunity to shoot into the sun like this a few weeks ago but just got a lot of lens flair.

This one was taken the following evening and you get more of an idea of the sky/sea and you can actually see the horizon, the one above is more pronounced as that was at 300mm compaired to this one at 100.

Nothing realy just pointed the camera and took the shots :) they are on a tripod with mirror lock up and as I don't have a cable release I used the timer. A few didn't come out as I'd not covered up the eye piece and they had a bit of flair. This is straight out of the camera with no processing. The lens just has a uv filter on it.
