I am having trouble posting a picture to the site.

I am on pbase and I can post to DP review with no problem.

I read a post that said to put this in and past the url in between and have had no luck.

Hi Phili1
I can understand your frustration :)

you'll know most of this (below) already
but just to try and help you
about the.......... [ img]
they are to be like that exactly
both ends of the url , BUT and this is important...with NO spaces

AND (important also)
slightly different with this one at the end [ / img]

here below is a reply which cyberdynesystems kindly gave on another post a while ago to someone
and I copied the tip.
hi cyber :D

for myself it doesn't work because of a cookie problem (or something) but it will probably work for you
if you put the [ img] in like that
and 'not' as this {img}

and make sure the last [ img] is as [ /img]
no spaces

cyber quote >>>>
"you can't post a picture to this forum directly,. you need
to allready have it hosted (like in your gallery) and then it can be
imbedded in your post.

Here's how.

1. Click on a picture in your gallery.
2. Now with the mouse RIGHT click on the picture.
3. A menu will pop up, at the bottom select "Properties"
4. A window will open, in the middle highlight the info after the word
Address: (this is the direct web address to your image, NOT the page it is
on)
5. Once the address is highlighted,.. copy it.
6. Now back in your post on this or any other forum paste that address like
this;

http://community.webshots.com/s/image2/5/10/86/93851086ycDjPH_ph.jpg

This is the direct link but to "EMBED" it there is a little typing you need
to do.

7. Type around the hyperlink you paste exactly like this

[img ] http://community.webshots.com/s/image2/5/10/86/93851086ycDjPH_ph.jpg
[ /img]

BUT! Do not leave ANY spaces! ( I have to put spaces here so you can read
the symbols )

I finally figured out how to do this. You have to open the website with the image. Don't copy the info from the address bar. You must right click the image and copy the address there! It has a file type extension.
