Does anyone have a good ISP that supports the use of EE totally. I need a shared server envoirnment and an ISP whose server supports FTP functionality in PHP and has the correct Apache software and server type.

If anyone out there is running an EE database with no server problems PLEASE suggest one.

Thanks...

Try www.opensourcehost.com, they are great.

I second that - I recently moved my site there from ipowerweb (who refused to install ImageMagick).

Everything needed for EE was already installed at opensourcehost except ImageMagick. A simple email request and they installed that too.

Very responsive support.

I've been using ICDSoft for my EE site. Meets all requirements and good service:

I switched to: http://tengun.net
Tony is a member of this forum and has everything installed for EE, plus great prices.
I switched two months ago without any problems.

I use www.alivewww.com and might be of interest to UK based people. I tried Tengun but found it to be very slow from the uk at peak us times.

Hi Alan,
I have seen your proposal for www.alivewww.com.

1) Do you have an ee-gallery? I searched on your site, found GREAT images, but not ee-gallery ?

2) I am from Switzerland, do you think, this provider could be interesting, it is not "only" a small provider, what could be in some monthes again away from the market ? (I know, everything is possible)

Thanks, Alan, your provider is very interesting, when I compare them with swiss-based providers, here they are very expensive, from my point of view.

Hi Markus are you from Switzerland? If you are from the italian Switzerland, please let me know 'cause I'm italian and I could tell what ISP I'm using for my EE gallery. But is an italian ISP so you must know italian to contact them, please let me know if you are interested....

Hi boolbo ;)
Thanks for your offer ... unfortunately I am from the german speaking part of switzerland, half an hour away from Zurich by car, and I do speak and understand the Italian language like a cow can dancing ...

I guess, this UK-provider is very good and quite interesting in prizing.
Grazie, Ciao
Markus
