Hi All,
Does anyone know of a convenient way of obtaining the ISO setting used when working with G3 JPEG's in PS? The only way I seem to be able to get it is by using the ZoomBrowser software (which I think is terrible). Somehow I think that Canon isnt using the correct standard since no other programs than ZB seem to be able to detect it (ie, NeatImage).
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Casper

ACDSee can read it. Also, there are many freeware programs available. Do a search for "EXIF reader".

I think that the original question may like to ask, that what and where is the ISO setting when shooting in Auto!?
Because it's a quite well-known problem (I think) with the Canons that in the EXIF there is just "Auto" in that case NOT the actual ISO, what was used!
That is the real question, what I also like to know!
(it's my first post here, but i'm reading the forums for quite a long time now.)

You're right! It's also a problem for me.
My previous digicam (sony p72) always had iso value in eixf, but G3 olny with manual iso setting.

Really nobody has any solution for this problem?
I'm quite sad about it! :(
Somehow we should address it to Canon, because this way it is useless.

I almost always select ISO manually. Why? Partly because that's one less thing the camera has to figure out between the press of the shutter button and the trip of the shutter. In any case, it would be nice to know what it picked on the rare occasion I use auto.

Civis,
Have you tried to raise this issue on dpreview forum?
Regards,
Marcin

Actually I can't find anything useful in the other forum. :(
But you can raise it again. (I think, i've found something in this topic but no solution)
Please let me know about your findings!
thx, CsabX
