I'm still in search of a wider angle fast lens for my d30. Does anyone have any thoughts on the canon 20-35mm F2.8L. And does anyone know where I might find one? Also has anyone tried the Tamrom 20-40 f/2.7-3.5 with the D30?
Thanks,
PaulK

I'm getting the Canon 16-35mm F2.8L next week for my D30. I'll let you know what I think of it.

The motor is noisy and generally don't feel as good as the 17-35....it all depends on how good a deal you get.

I have the Tamron lens and I also have the 28-70 L lens, for as often as i use the Tamron lens it is great. I think it is almost as good as the Cannon lens and about 1/2 the price. However, it still only gives me a 32mm lens on the d-30.
