Beta 5 out

This one has one very important bug fix, that is why I call it beta 5 and that it why it wise to update to it :)

RUN 15_b5.php TO INSTALL DATABASE CHANGES. GO ONCE TO EDITOR INDEX PAGE AFTER UPDATE.

FIXED IN THIS VERSION:

- In the new rethumbnail page, two image files are missing. Included.

- Fixed html link problems in public commentand rating display.

- Revamped comment and rating editor html, fixed a bug in single image selection.

- Fixed possible data integrity issues in editors. The problem was related to photodata defaults. Integrity was threatened if you had a lens, owner or camera in photodata defaults, and you deleted that lens, photo or camera. The bug manifested so that EE could not display affected phtoos on list page or open photo editor for them. Thanks to user 'thaths' for gettings me into right direction. I also included an invisible integrity fixer on upload page which fixes any possible issues caused by this bug.

- Moved some extra settings from fetchsettings.php to misc settings editor, so that updating fetchsettings.php will not change your old settings.

- Added a possibility to remove thumb caption text from index pages (misc settings).

- Added indexstyle 6, which has no right hand pane and news are on bottom.

- Selecting in path editor "Sort photo page dropdown menu by Menutext" will get you SQL error in photo page (language related bug). Fixed.

- Added an error of "not installed" in EXIF test (now it just gave nothing if EXIF did not work).

- Fixed internal third level security check in EE commerce.

- Fixed some html problems with html entities.

- Fixed a problem in header/footer code. Now it works so that if either is found in language folder it overrides one in gallery root.

- Fixed database update error in upload page. This could happen when default photodata had quotes in header and PHP Magic quotes GPC were active.

- Fixed false positives in ftp test's size and modified data test.

- Did straight columns to photo editor photo dropdown.

- Prevented upload to initiate unless both file(s) and path(s) are selected.

- Added setup manual to manual area.

Setup Manual has couple of new additions. Next beta version will be mainly "more manuals" version and most likely will be called Release Candicate 1.

I have just downloaded the update. I uploaded it to the server and ran the file 15_b5.php.

It said everything was ok and I went to the Editor Index page as instructed.

Then I went to add a couple images to and exhibition from the upload page. The images are already uploaded into the upload folder and i selected them and picked my sizes. I hit the upload button and wait and after approx 5-10 seconds the page goes completely blank and shows this link in the address bar:

http://server.com/gallery/input/ftp.php#messages

Everything was working fine before the update and my PHP max time is 360 sec.

Weird thing is that that images are actually uploaded, resized, and added to the exhibitions properly. I also checked the ftp log and it says everything finished fine:

It seems the page is timing out or not refreshing properly back to the upload page.

I got some new problem in Beta 5

I have copy all the new files and ran 15_b5.php

Every time when I enter the "input" folder (admin)

I need to wait a few seconds and below the normal table of number to photo in exhibition, I got some message

photo id 1 had rogue id 191 in row ee_country_id, reset to id 191
photo id 2 had rogue id 191 in row ee_country_id, reset to id 191
...
...
...
photo id 706 had rogue id 191 in row ee_country_id, reset to id 191

photo id 1 had rogue id 1 in row ee_light_id, reset to id 1
photo id 2 had rogue id 1 in row ee_light_id, reset to id 1
...
...
...
photo id 706 had rogue id 1 in row ee_light_id, reset to id 1

And when I look in the details of photos, all the country data and lighting detail has gone.

I try to sent it back to coorect data by powertools, I have select all the photos and set it back to correct country code but it fail to do so.

"AFFECTED DATABASE ROWS: none, query failed"

I also had exactly the same problem. A long list for rouge id country and light as described above.

Nevermind my problem, it was a stupid mistake.

I uploaded beta and fixes, but I didn't upload "input" folder into the renamed input folder. I had my renamed folder and "input" folder both in FTP. Moved files and all is good.

Thanks for adding the new indexstyle6 to beta5, though how hard is it to make the exhibitions list vertically instead of side by side.

Indexstyle 6 has the news below the exhibitions now, just I had hoped, though it would be great to have the exhibitions list one on top of each other like your http://photography-on-the.net/gallery/.

Can you post an additional indexstyle7 that would do this?

To get them one on top of each other go to misc settings and set in INDEX PAGE SETTINGS columns to 1. About thumbs to the right - I'll see if I can make one after online help is ready (LOTS of typing).

Sorry for the stupid question about the single column, I guess I just never noticed it before.

I'll look forward to the thumbs to the side later.

As an alternative for now, is it possible to have random thumbs on the gallery index instead of microthumbs?
