HDR photogrophy - tips and tutorials?

I just found this on Wikipedia and was amazed. I would love to try to a couple of these type of images. Can anyone who has tried it give me tips or link me to good tutorials?

I use Photoshop Elements 4 if there is a plugin to merge the files.
