Opinions? Experience?

Does anyone have experience with a Sunpak Auto 433D with a G3?
I am looking for an alternative to the Canon Speedlights. Is the operation and results similar?
Any comments and/or suggestions are encouraged.

I don't know about the particular flash you are referring to but my feeling is that it would not offer dedicated ETTL metering for the G3. However, on another forum someone had contacted Sunpak and they replied that at the first of next year they will be releasing a strobe that has a dedicated function for the Canon G series. That's about all I know.
