Owned D30 for about nine months and from the first was entirely dissatisfied with the software. Crashes periodically without rhyme or reason. Anyone know of latest version (canon no help at all) or better still, alternative make software. Thanks

Hello

I do use:
BreezeBrowser (http://www.breezesys.com)
and
copy all CRW files from my 1GB drive via a CF reader (FireWire).

Then i use Photoshop.

To store the pictures, i simply makes a folder on my computer and store it in one folder per session i uses the camera.
I do backup to DVD via a DVD burner.

Use BrezzeBrowser to show and convert.

I have also bout ScottPro (a simular software)
http://scottprofessional.com/

It doues simular tasks, but is new to me for testing.

The price for the programs is near zero.

Thanks Roine,
I've purchased BreezeBrowser and the Downloader. Cannot get Downloader to operate, message tells me
"Duplicate file names IMG_0001 and IMG_0002"

What you suggest I do? I'm not too technical!

Michael,

You are trying to download the same files twice. Downloader will not do this in order to avoid overwriting image files. You should take care what folders you put files in.

I would recommend you set up Preferences to use date-based folders and also use Automation settings. Both can be found in the File menu.

Personally, I like to have BreezeBrowser batch rename files into yyyymmdd.crw format and have Downloader delete files after download.

Once you have got your workflow sorted, I think you'll find BB and DL very convenient to work with.

Hello!
I use a Mac and I find the ImageBrowser software to be very slow.
BreezeBrowswer is not efficient with Mac's either, or so I'm led to believe. Is there an application that works on a Mac better than the propriarity one from Canon?
Olympus' software worked just fine when I had one of those e-10's.

Thanks,
Steve
