Here's something i posted on a previous thread, but i posted it at the end and didnt really get any feedback, and thought id try again.

I was trying to take some ambiguous shots of my brother just chilling on the garden during one of the UK's rare sunny days. I like the high contrast (always been a sucker for it) and wouldnt change the image in any way, but i wondered what others thought.

Taken with a 300N (gosh, film?!) with available light and the kit lens. I cant remember much else about it, it's quite old!

thats great, i like the grittiness of it. some whispy smoke would look cool...

I like these contrasty images, they have an 'edgy' feel to them due to the grain, contrast and composition.

Im hoping to get some newer portraits done when my fifty arrives, then its a case of savingup for a ring flash!! Ive wanted one for as long as ive had a camera!!

Id love to see any ring flash shots if anone has one?

The first one is kinda odd to me personally; but then so am I lol. Hey I LOVE that second shot!!! Awesome. I can't stand smoking, think it's digsuting etc, but for some reason, I just love smoking shots! Kinda like shades shot, love those too.

Im not a smoker myself, so naturally im not a big fan either, but my brother seems to like it, so fair play to him. And he was kind enough to sit there while i buzzed around him so i cant begrudge him the odd cigarette ;)

That 2nd shot has so much character, the little wisp of smoke is perfect and the grain is superb!

Thanks very much, im definitely a fan of grain myself!!! Just got myself a 50mm 1.8 at last so im looking to try some and shots in low light ;) cant wait!!!!
