I don't feel there is really any balance to this shot? I think perhaps focusing in on a smaller more specific area would have helped. The black door areas tend to overwhelm the shot. Always try to have well defined edges and not cut things off.

There's my critique!

I don't know conditions of taking the picture and surrounding of it's cropping. But I think that taking picture of the whole face wall would be more impressive. Also position above the center of the wall is not good.

I like the blue on this shot, but the incomplete elements (doors) really detract. I think that if the shot was actually grounded to the sidewalk it would be much better. Since it's not, a crop from the just below balcony seems to work ok (though it seems a bit tight).

Beautiful color here -- I would not have guessed Mexico, but somewhere in Spain, Greece or Portugal. Keep em coming.

I like the balcony and the wooden door aswell as the nice colors. In my opinion.... it´s a nice shot all over.

It is a nice shot. I think trying to include the ground just along the bottom would help :)

The blue color is intriguing and also the door on the second level but cutting off the lower level door above ground level really hurts the composition. Of course may be you could not get far enough back with the lens available to you to get the entire lower level but thats what makes getting the right picture difficult sometimes. At least its not like trying to photograph some bird which is here one second and gone the next. Maybe you can return and try and shot with new focal length.
To a lesser extent, but by no means minor as far as my sensitivities are concerned, the cutting of the door on the left and window(?) on the right also hurts the photograph.

Thanks for comments all.

As correctly guessed, the street was only about ten feet wide there, and the G1 wasn't quite up to the task. I had to pick and choose.
