Hi,

I tried to take night shots with S400, and the shutter speed always remains at 1 sec., even in a very dark room. I thought the camera would adjust the shutter speed to as slow as 15 seconds depending on the conditions. Any ideas?

The settings I have are:
Manual setting (not the fully automatic one)
long shutter on
flash off
tripod used
self timer on
ISO auto

Thanks in advance.

The thing you need to do is to activate the long shutter menu, which you do using the button "func" and then when you are in the exposure compensation just press set, and just choose which shutter speed you would like to use.

It's all in the manual though :)

Good luck

Of course it did, don't sound so surprised ;)

Have fun, and don't forget to share your pictures in the "Share pictures" part of this forum.

Have you tried to add the vivid photo enhancer?

Without tripod you could use a column or a table for have more stability ...

How many seconds have you configured for long time ?
