What would you do with this

This was taken at a monument in India. I like the partial lighting on the soldier.

Any comments/suggestions.

Intersting composition, but I would have liked better to have a bit more picture on the left (rule of thirds).
The soldier looks to the left, so give him more space to look at...
It would be a pity to reframe it by cutting the painting on the right...
