operate in low temperature

i have a question:i'm using canon powershot s400 and
i'm going to korea in december.the temperature is about -6 c.Can my camera be operating in a cold weather like this?

Not for extended periods of time. Keep it around your neck and inside the warmth of your jacket until you need to take a picture then put it back. You can also keep several chemical hand warmers next to it in the camera bag. But only keep it in the cold for very short periods of time, one minute at most.
