Fools rush in!

Hi there. I've very little experience at shooting animals but really liked this shot I got of one of my mother's cats the other weekend using a friend's 70-200 f4 L.

The model's name is Freddy and don't be fooled by the looks. I took this at 200mm, putting me around 6+ feet away from him and with good reason! He's been housebound for the past 4 weeks while recovering from a torn cruciate ligament with probably 4+ weeks to go and so has an absolutely foul temper at the moment.

I'm also posting a link to the original ( http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/37215880/ ) as I can see this version has lost quite a lot of the original's punch once it's been resized etc for the forum.

I would appreciate your comments.

He's beautiful - I can see a hint of antagonism in his eye though! I think a little less of the pillow in the shot would be nice.

Thanks for the feedback.

How about this one? There wasn't a great deal of natural light around and so I had to turn the iso up to 1600, which obviously caused more noise. Again, processing for the web has lost some of the original's punch.
