Not sure whether is is classed as sport or not but I had a great day at Hastings model show on Sunday. These were a couple of the keepers from the day.

This Sailplane has a jet turbine on the back and is incredibly agile under power, it has a 22 feet wingspan and is apparantly one of the largest powered sailplanes in europe.

This B17 Flying Fortress has 4 petrol engines and is mainly fibreglass, the plugs used to make the fibreglass shell were apparantly the same ones used to make the models in the filming of "Memphis Belle" and it looked so realistic as it manouvered over the heads of the crowd.

Hobby. But still cool.

I like the perspective here. The composition I know is tough with fast moving objects. A panned landing shot next time would be a good capture as well.

Maybe these should go in the Transportation section, but they are stunning as is! Very impressive.

The Memphis Belle! Thanks, I've been trying to remember that name for ages!

Pretty impressive models too :D
