hi all, is there a way to remove the shadows from this photo or atleast improve it somehow.. ive got cs2 & can do the basic's but ive failed to remove the shadows..

Theres no way you can remove shadow or harsh lighting. Thats why its best to have a light difuser or take the picture under a tree, cloudy day, etc.. As far as improving the picture goes, I tighter crop would be much better, and if you shot in RAW, you might be able to get rid of the blow outs on the face.

did you go under adjustments - shadow/highlight and try and adjust it there? thats all i can think of that may help a little.

Shadows and highlights - works much better from RAW or even full res JPG. Go to advanced mode and play with color and contrast, as well as tonal range of shadows.
