defininately operator error.
I have recently replaced the LCD screen in my S40 (for much money-$135 US), but upon re-assembly, I was unable to power up the camera. I used caution, patience, precision tools, gloves, and a clean work place when operating on my little beastie but it doesn't seem to appreciate all my tender loving care. I didn't bend anything unbendable or force ANYTHING at all to do something it didn't want to do, but somewhere along the way, I must have touched something that shouldn't have been touched.
I replaced the screen myself as the cost of sending the camera in for service in addition to the cost of replacement parts was getting close to the replacement cost of the unit. I would rather cut my losses short and apply my money to a new camera at this point, but I now have nothing to lose by attempting further repairs.
any thoughts as to this predicament?
