digital terminal

I use a Canon EOS D30 camera and I am wondering if it is possible to set up a video monitor while shooting in the studio.
I see a port on the camera referred to as the "digital terminal" but can't find any information on what it does or how it can be used.
Has anyone tried this before?

The video terminal will allow you to play back the photos to a monitor (you'll have to be in the playback mode), but it won't allow a live preview if that's what you're looking for - no Canon DSLR does.
